The way we speak about death needs to change.

Gone is the reverence and the sacred rites of passage adhered to by our ancestors, replaced by a compartmentalized, sterile approach to death, and the dying. This book is about real people, real events, and real experiences. Inspired by my personal journey with death and supporting others through this portal for twenty-five years, and especially my own father's diagnosis ith cancer in 2024.

Writing this book became my therapy and helps expand my own heart and mind around the dying process, how to prepare without falling into morbidity, and most of all, how best to support dad as he struggled with his own ideas about love, legacies, and life after death.

The stories within are intended to widen your own perspective of death, and initiate conscious and healing conversations within your own families so you too can prepare for the inevitable end.

It's time we talked about death, with love, with courage, and without carrying the fear of the past forward.
